Aerojet and the U.S. Air Force conducted a highly successful
static test of Aerojet's Advanced Second Stage (A2S) Demonstration
motor in support of the U.S. Family of Motors for military and
commercial applications.
Lockheed Martin says cancellation of the beleaguered VH-71
program will cost the company 600 jobs at its facility in Owego,
NY. The original $6.5 billion contract had ballooned to over $13
million, and the program was 6 years behind schedule, partly due to
changes in the aircraft's specs.
Wants The Senate To Cut $1.75 Billion From The Bill
President Obama is insistent that he will veto the Defense
Department Authorization Bill unless Senators remove nearly $2
billion earmarked for the purchase of 7 additional F-22 Raptors.
The Lockheed Martin-built plane is the most expensive jet fighter
ever built, and represents 25,000 jobs in 44 states.
