Afghan and Czech Pilots Bring The Aircraft Back After Almost 10
Years
After an absence of nearly a decade, the Afghan Mi-35 is again
flying the skies of Afghanistan, thanks to pilots from the Afghan
National Army Air Corps and the Czech Republic, military officials
here said.
Celebrates 65 Years Of Training Rotary Wing Pilots
Training Air Wing (TRAWING) 5 celebrated a milestone in naval
aviation when the 30,000th rotary wing student pilot walked across
the stage to receive his coveted "wings of gold," June 19. First
Lt. Michael Brown, USMC, walked off the stage as the Marine Corps'
newest helicopter pilot. He joined 37 other students in achieving
the designation.
Boeing has connected the F-15E Mission Training Center (MTC) at
Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, to the U.S. Air Force's
Distributed Mission Operations Network (DEMON), enabling F-15E
pilots at the base to train virtually with pilots located around
the world for the first time. Mountain Home is the first of three
F-15E training centers Boeing will link to the network this
year.
Collaboration Designed To Further Develop Unmanned Aerial
Technology
UltraCell Corporation, announced Monday it plans to build fuel
cell systems for the Center for Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV)
Exploitation (CUE) in its Dayton, Ohio, manufacturing plant.
UltraCell will initially build 10 units based on the company's XX25
reformed methanol fuel cell (RMFC) technology, with potential to
expand production in the future.
