Boeing said Monday it plans to dive into the competition to
build a new Presidential helicopter, and that it plans to do so by
securing a license from AgustaWestland for U.S. production of the
AW101 medium-lift helicopter.
Up To 110 Of The Aircraft May Eventually Be Acquired
The U.S. State Department has entered into a five-year
indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) purchase agreement
for up to 110 modernized S-61 aircraft for passenger and cargo
transport missions in support of its worldwide operations.
Canada formally accepted the first of 17 Lockheed Martin C-130J
Super Hercules aircraft Friday at ceremonies both in Suburban
Atlanta, GA and at Canadian Forces Base Trenton.
