DoD has confirmed the deaths of four airmen who were supporting
Operation Iraqi Freedom. The airmen died May 30 in the crash of an
Iraqi air force aircraft during a training mission in eastern
Diyala province.
The FAA has turned to members of associations like EAA Warbirds
of America and type clubs to gather information relating to T-6
aircraft in the wake of a fatal accident caused by an apparent wing
failure in Florida on May 9.
When the U.S. Marine Corps' 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment,
ventured into the Tora Bora mountains recently to hunt down enemy
fighters, they instead found Afghans eager for a brighter
