Department Of The Navy Issues RFP For VXX Program

The final F-4 regenerated from storage at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group performed its last flight over Tucson, AZ, April 17, before heading to Mojave, CA. Aircraft 68-0599, an RF-4C Phantom, arrived at AMARG for storage on January 18, 1989 and had not flown since.

A 30-year old Michigan man is organizing a recovery team to rescue a downed B-25 from Alaska. This June, Patrick Mihalek from Brighton, MI, is planning to attempt to recover a nearly 70-year old North American B-25J Mitchell bomber (USAAF # 44-30733) from her remote crash site.
