A400M Receives Initial Type Certificate From EASA

Airbus Military has received the initial type certification for the A400M new generation airlifter, marking a key milestone on the road to first delivery around the turn of the year. The crew of an F-15E Strike Eagle on a training mission in an undisclosed location in southwest Asia was forced to eject from the airplane Thursday morning. Both crewmen are reported to be fine, but the airplane was lost.
