The Air Force has made tough choices and some prudent trade-offs
to balance the service across the spectrum of capabilities needed
for the future, Air Force leaders said. Air Force Secretary Michael
Donley and Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz discussed
the service's efforts to balance between today's operations and
tomorrow's needs.
Bell Helicopter's Earned Value Management System has been
approved by the Defense Contract Management Agency. "Approval of
our certification is the culmination of three years of hard work by
Bell employees and our investment into EVMS improvements," said
Dick Millman, president and CEO of Bell.
Boeing Company has joined in a program with partner
AgustaWestland to fulfill a contract for the manufacture and
support of 16 ICH-47F Chinook helicopters for the Italian Army. The
contract makes Boeing the prime subcontractor to AgustaWestland for
the new aircraft.
