You have to hand it to the British, they do love their steaks - even if it means diverting a military helicopter on a training mission to pick up some fresh filets. An unnamed pilot for Her Majesty’s Coastguard has been suspended after flying a CHC-operated helicopter on an 85 mile detour from northern Scotland to the island of Orkney after a training exercise.

Wing Phases Out Flight Suits Effective May 1

New Directive Designed To 'Create Synergy Among All Personnel'

Some Airmen at Peterson AFB in Colorado who have been issued flight suits will need to hang them up for good May 1. On April 10, a policy letter released from Gen. William L. Shelton, commander of Air Force Space Command, directed personnel assigned to AFSPC to stop wearing flight suits, the green flight jacket and the A-2 leather jackets, no later than the end of the fiscal year.
