The 302nd Air Expeditionary Group is continuing to battle the
wildfires that are raging throughout areas of southern Texas. The
302nd AEG, comprising Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve
units, has assisted with fire fighting efforts throughout the
week.

Some 23 Black Hawk helicopters have been freed from duty in the
United States to go to combat elsewhere, thanks to stateside

that the F136 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) engine contract has been
terminated.
