Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Tuesday he's been
"pleasantly surprised" so far by the relatively muted response from
lawmakers after his announcement of plans to cut spending on
several high-dollar projects, including the F-22 Raptor fighter and
VH-71 presidential helicopter.

Science Applications International Corporation announced
Wednesday it has been awarded a delivery order under the US
Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Systems and Mission Support II
(USAMS II) prime contract managed by the 55th Contracting Squadron
(55 CONS). This delivery order is to provide advisory and
assistance services to the US Air Force Weather Agency (AFWA) for
life-cycle program management support.
