XC-99 Begins Piece-By-Piece Trip To Air Force Museum

Several parts of a historic XC-99 aircraft located at the Kelly Annex to Lackland AFB were hauled to the Air Force Museum near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, recently. A C-5 Galaxy from the 433rd Airlift Wing here hauled the initial load of the three-phase dismantling project. Disassembling began Jan. 20 by a company with a history of disassembling and reassembling large aircraft.

Sailors Save Life In Midair

The month of April begins with mischief, innocent white lies and laughter; however, when two service members stationed aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, returned home aboard Korean Airlines Flight 7865, no comedy was involved. Roughly three hours into their eight-hour return trip to Hawaii, a 57-year-old man began to show signs of uneasy breathing. After the man notified a flight attendant of his difficulty breathing, she responded by administering him with oxygen.
