Warns Moves To Intercept Rocket Will Be Met With
Counterstrike
Once again asserting its plans to launch a satellite within
days, on Monday the government of North Korea warned the United
States, Japan and South Korea that any attempt to intercept the
rocket would be met by a counterstrike.
Secretary of State Clinton Maintains Shield Is Not A Threat To
Russia
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton defended the United States'
plans for establishment of a missile defense shield in Poland and
the Czech Republic at a press conference in Brussels, held after
last week's first round of talks with NATO foreign ministers.
The inspection of C-130 Hercules transport aircraft became a
priority issue for the US Air Force last week, after cracks in wing
joint barrel nuts were discovered during a routine maintenance
inspection of a C-130 at Robins Air Force Base outside of Warner
Robins, GA.
