Number Seven Of Eight Aircraft Slated For Squadron
Earlier this week, Lockheed Martin delivered its second C-130J
airlifter of 2006. The aircraft is assigned to the 403rd Wing's
815th Airlift Squadron, Air Force Reserve Command's (AFRC) only
C-130J combat delivery squadron.
On March 1, an Air National Guard rescue unit successfully
tested the world’s first multi-person rescue basket, a
cage-like device that, once certified, can carry up to 15 people --
and with another strong hurricane season expected this year, that
certification can't come soon enough for many who have experience
with rescue operations.
On Thursday, Lockheed Martin and aircraft maker EADS CASA rolled
out the first production airframe of the HC-235A medium-range
surveillance maritime patrol aircraft.
