"It's over." That's how one defense official summed up Monday's
meeting of decision makers at the Pentagon, on whether a contract
to supply the service with 179 new aerial refueling tankers would
go to Boeing or a partnership between Northrop Grumman and
EADS.
The United Arab Emirates announced Monday the purchase from
EADS, through its Military Transport Aircraft Division, of the A330
MRTT (Multi Role Transport Tanker) as the new air-to-air refueling
aircraft for the UAE Air Force & Air Defense. The A330 MRTT
will be fitted with under wings pods and the EADS CASA Boom
system.
CMC Electronics told ANN Monday the company will supply its
CMA-9000 Flight Management System (FMS) to Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. as
a standard fit on the fleet of Pilatus PC-21 turboprop trainer
aircraft selected by the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
