This week the Iraqi Air Force at Taji, Iraq, took delivery of
two freshly refurbished UH-1H Huey helicopters. The helicopters are
the first of sixteen that will equip two reconstituted IAF
squadrons. They have been donated by Iraq's neighbor, the Kingdom
of Jordan.

Birthday
Retired Air Force General Paul Tibbets, who commanded history's
first atomic bombing mission over Hiroshima, Japan, at the twilight
of World War II, plans to be back in the air this spring. On his
90th birthday, he'll be in a Boeing B-17 commemorating "Mission
Bolero."
AgustaWestland has congratulated the U.S. Coast Guard HITRON
aircrew of Lt. Craig Neubecker, Pilot, Lt. Shawn Koch, Co-Pilot,
and Avionics Electronics Tech, 1st Class, William Greer for winning
Helicopter Association International’s (HAI) 2004 MD
Helicopters Law Enforcement Award.
The last of the MV-22 Osprey's that will take part in an
upcoming operational evaluation was recently flown from Amarillo,
TX, to Marine Tiltrotor Test and Evaluation Squadron-22(VMX-22) in
North Carolina.
