Five helicopters requested by the Mexican government two years
ago to assist in fighting well-equipped drug cartels are finally
about to be delivered, but an additional 15 aircraft may not arrive
for two more years.

Elbit Systems said Sunday that its Hermes 900 UAV completed a
successful Maiden Flight and will commence serial production
following the completion of additional flight tests. The Hermes 900
is based on the successful track record of the Hermes 450.

competitive unmanned aircraft system (UAS) market will find the
task challenging, according to a new report by industry analyst
Frost & Sullivan. Mature technologies, coupled with increasing
consolidation, are making the UAS market a difficult space to
