F-35 STOVL Liftsystem Contract Is Second JSF Production Deal

Rolls-Royce announced Tuesday it has signed a $171 million
contract with Pratt & Whitney to supply the Rolls-Royce
LiftSystem for a further 9 Short Take-Off and Vertical Landing
(STOVL) variant F-35B Lightning II aircraft. The deal is part of
the third lot of Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP).
Pratt & Whitney has delivered the first ever F100-229 Engine
Enhancement Package (EEP) Engine for installation in a Republic of
Korea Air Force F-15. This is the first of six EEP engines to be
delivered to the ROKAF this year.
