Pakistan said Wednesday it has successfully test-fired a
new variant of its nuclear-capable Hatf 4 (Shaheen-1) missile, two
days after archrival India carried out its first successful test of
a ballistic missile interception system.
Fiscal year 2006 was the safest year in aviation ever for the
United States Air Force, with the lowest number of major aircraft
accidents and fatalities within the Department of Defense, said the
Chief of Air Force Safety Maj. Gen. Stan Gorenc recently.
Block 17 Aircraft First International Delivery Since 2001
On Tuesday, Boeing delivered the Royal Australian Air Force's
(RAAF) first C-17 Globemaster III during a ceremony at the
company's Long Beach, CA manufacturing facility.
Aero-News has learned AgustaWestland handed over two AW139
helicopters for the Irish Air Corps at a recent ceremony at the Air
Corps base at Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, Dublin, Ireland. The
AW139s will be based at Casement.
