According to a study by the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry & Security, the number of counterfeit incidents reported by 387 participants climbed from 3,868 in 2005 to 9,356 in 2008, an increase of more than 140 percent.
FAA Announces Effort To Enhance Safety, Increase Efficiency And Reduce Aircraft Emissions In Florida Airspace
Acting FAA Administrator Michael Huerta announced a collaborative NextGen effort that will increase safety and efficiency while reducing aircraft emissions for the passengers, air traffic controllers and airlines flying into and out of many of Florida’s major airports. The announcement was made Thursday at JetBlue University, the carrier’s training center, where simulators demonstrated examples of NextGen procedures and routes.
