Hilton Software Joins Aspen Connected Panel Partnership

Announces WingX Pro7 Support By Year's End

Hilton Software LLC has announced support for Aspen Avionics’ Connected Panel. WingX Pro7, the company's iPad Navigation Application, will include comprehensive interoperability when Aspen Avionics’ Connected Panel becomes available for installation by the end of this year. Aspen Avionics’ Connected Panel includes hardware, software, and application components that provide two-way wireless communications between panel avionics and personal smart devices to streamline flight-related activities.

Redbird Skyport Firms Up Seminole Deal

Delivery Expected In April, 2012

A deal struck at Oshkosh last month between Piper and Redbird for a new twin-engine Seminole has been firmed up between the two companies. The training twin will join Redbird Flight Simulations' innovative and multi-faceted aviation research and development laboratory beginning in the first quarter of 2012. The airplane will be based at the Redbird Skyport laboratory in San Marcos, TX.

AEA Members Optimistic Despite Economic Concerns

2011 Rate And Labor Survey Finds Improvements In Business Outlook In The Industry

The Aircraft Electronics Association released the results from its 2011 Rate & Labor Survey this week to participating AEA member companies. In comparing this year's  survey results with the 2010 survey, the AEA discovered some improvements in business outlook despite business activity that appears to be leveling off in 2011.
