Mooney Airplane Company announced Friday at AirVenture that the
company has entered into a joint engineering project with
Rolls-Royce, to explore the use of the newly-announced RR500
turbine "to complement the current Mooney product line."
Pilot May Have Also Busted A Presidential TFR In '06
The FAA is investigating whether a Concord, CA pilot repeatedly
buzzed his ex-girlfreind's neighborhood. FAA spokesman Mike Fergus
declined to comment on the investigation, but he did confirm that
the single engine Beechcraft involved in the low level hijinks
belongs to 50 year-old Thomas Mark Huey.

Friday was an historic day at AirVenture. The largest gathering
of women aviators in history gathered in AeroShell Square, many of
them wearing commemorative pink T-Shirts, appropriately titled,
Women Soar. EAA and Women in Aviation, Intl. (WAI), organized the
event where hundreds of women aviators of all ages and from all
over the world, gathered to show their unending enthusiasm for
aviation. All week, WAI has been registering the women in a special
log book at the WAI booth at AirVenture.
