In a move questioned by many in the GA world, the government of the Bahamas began charging new airport taxes July 1st. The new tax for private aircraft arriving in the Bahamas is $50, and it applies to en route fuel stops.

A YouTube video posted by a Maryland radio station shows an accident involving a Nanchang CJ-6A, a Chinese-built training airplane, which resulted in the fatal injury of the two people on board. Both men on board were identified as Maryland police officers who were off-duty at the time of the accident.
