The FAA has reached an agreement with Georgia Tech to research
how the increased sophistication on the flight deck under the Next
Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) will affect flight
crewmembers and controllers.

Flight On Solar And Battery Power Only Over 24 Hours
The Solar Impulse aircraft lifted off at 0700 Central European
Time Wednesday from Payerne, Switzerland for its delayed attempt to
fly for 24 hours powered only by the sun and on-board
batteries.
EFD1000C3 Pro PFD Now Available For A Wide Range Of Cabin Class
Aircraft
Aspen Avionics announced Wednesday that the FAA granted TSO
Authorization for the Evolution EFD1000C3 Pro Primary Flight
Display (PFD) for Class III aircraft. The Evolution Software now
meets the Level B assurance levels required for FAR Part 23 Class
III aircraft.
