EAA AirVenture 2009 was a momentous turnaround for Jack Tiffany,
leading restorer of the Pitcairn PA-18. The year before, the
team suffered an unfortunate setback when, with only a week left
until EAA AirVenture 2008, the aircraft suffered significant rotor
blade damage during flight testing and its maiden flight to Oshkosh
had to be canceled.
