While general aviation sales have been slow in 2009, a
growing number of pilots seem to be OK with cranking up the power
and pouring on the speed with a Lycoming Thunderbolt engine.
The American Bonanza Society has helped avert a
potential mass-grounding of 1970 and newer Beechcraft Bonanzas and
Barons by securing from the FAA an extension to a fast-approaching
deadline for replacing certain switch-type circuit breakers.

keeps on giving... as the number of intriguing stories and
interviews that came out of the 2009 version continue to to impress
one and all. However; like our interview with Amy Laboda, we don't
mind playing favorites now and then... and like Amy, Ann Cooper
ranks on that list.
The NTSB has released its probable cause report
for a mid-air collision in January, 2008 which killed four people
in two aircraft and one on the ground. The incident, which happened
January 20th of last year, involved a Cessna 150, piloted by
24-year-old Anthony Guzman, and a Cessna 172, flown by
73-year-old Paul Carson.
