After all, she runs the company. But this Ovation is being inspected as part of the 2005 Air Race Classic in Lafayette, IN, and Gretchen is especially motivated to see it pass.

It was a student take-over, plain and simple. No, not the kind of studen take-over that, in the 60s and 70s, led to the library being burned to a cinder and the smell of tear-gas wafting throughout the campus. Nope... in this case, the students of Purdue University lobbied hard for the right to host both the departure and arrival ceremonies at the 2005 Air Race Classic.

The EAA jumped into action last Monday to help restore a temporary tower at a west Michigan fly-in scheduled for June 25th. The one day event at Padgham Field in Allegan, Michigan was approved for the temporary tower last December, as it has been for the last four years.

Seawind Goes Down Saturday: One Lost

A homebuilt Seawind crashed Saturday evening while attempting to make an emergency landing in Sarasota, Florida. The aircraft hit the roof of an elementary school before crashing into a ditch and bursting into flames.
