It's a scene increasingly familiar at airports across America.
This time, it was played out in Burlington and Harwinton (CT),
where some 500 residents showed up Monday night for an informal
little chat about what to do with Johnnycake Airport. It's an
argument that splits both communities -- and apparently splits the
co-owners of the land as well.
Gilbert Paquette had a million-dollar life insurance policy when
his small Cessna became impaled on a broadcast tower in Quebec
three years ago.
But in a move that left his survivors flabbergasted, the
broadcasters that used the wrecked tower are suing the family for
all that and much more.
The second Annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference
and Exhibition (LABACE2004), held April 15 to 17, surpassed even
the most optimistic projections of both organizers and Exhibitors,
registering 3,735 people, a 30 percent increase over last year.
