Ends String Of 23 Continuing Resolution Funding The Agency
The final piece of the long-term FAA funding puzzle fell into
place Tuesday, as President Barack Obama signed the $63.4 billion
long-term FAA funding measure hammered out by Congress. The signing
brings to an end a string of 23 short-term continuing resolutions
which have funded the agency since 2007.
Two Organizations Announce Agreement During Heli-Expo
The EAA and the Helicopter Association International (HAI) have
renewed an agreement that assures the return of the popular
Heli-Center on the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh flightline in 2012 and
includes other support for this year’s 60th annual EAA fly-in
gathering, which will take place July 23-29.
Only Person On Board Fatally Injured In The Accident
A Cessna 172 reported stolen from Buchanan Field Airport (KCCR)
in Contra Costa County, CA, was found crashed into the bank of a
canal west of Fresno, CA last week. The sole occupant of the
aircraft was fatally injured in the accident.
