Two pilots suffered minor injuries when their turboprop-powered
C-47 Turbo Dakota went off the runway during takeoff Wednesday
morning from the Mojave Air and Space Port (MHV) in California.
Projects Include Building Model Of Curtiss "Warner" Flyer
The Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame (WAHF) plans a series of
events to celebrate Wisconsin’s Centennial of Flight,
including the construction of a quarter-scale model Curtiss
"Warner" Flyer similar to the one that first flew in Wisconsin in
1909.
It's not often we hear of NIMBYs and airport management as
allies... but the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority,
which operates Bob Hope Airport (BUR), is asking the FAA to impose
a 10 pm-to-7 am curfew on all but the absolute quietest, Stage-IV
jets. If enacted, the curfew would force those operators to use
other airports in the region at night.
