A student pilot, reportedly on her first solo, safely landed a
Piper PA-28 (file photo of type below) without a nose gear at
Danbury Municipal Airport in Connecticut.
Because of his numerous flight records and his
tireless efforts in promoting aviation the world over, ANN has
learned Steve Fossett and four other "legends of flight"
will be honored with enshrinement in the The National Aviation Hall
of Fame (NAHF) next July.
An NTSB preliminary report on an October 3 Piper PA-24-180
Comanche crash in Hammonton, NJ indicates conditions conducive for
"serious icing at glide power" were present at the time the
