Western Michigan University's huge (we can't remember one bigger
in recent memory) order for Cirrus aircraft now appears even bigger
than first news indicated.
Things are moving right along at Merritt Island, FL-based
Aerocomp Inc. Aside from continued flight testing and a new engine
for their owner-built single-engine Comp Air Jet (CA-J,) the
company has also mated the fuselage of their new Comp Air 12
turboprop to its low-mounted wing assembly.
The Experimental Aircraft Association announced a memorial fund
has been established in the memory of Marta Bohn-Meyer, former
Chief Engineer for NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center and US
Unlimited Aerobatic Team manager. The memorial fund will provide
scholarships and educational programs for young women interested in
science.
