Airborne at Oshkosh 2013-Day Three: EAA Biz, Lycoming, Kestrel

EAA held its annual membership meeting Wednesday morning at Theater in the Woods, a change from previous years that chairman Jack Pelton said would give more members an opportunity to attend the meeting. Lycoming Engines press conference was heavy on preparations for future industry changes. Ballast in gas ballooning is used to control buoyancy (affecting altitude) during flight. Ballast is frequently in the form of sand or water and is carried aloft at launch.

Central Airlines
