The FAA released an advisory Tuesday on avoiding and dealing with carburetor ice, which gives us a perfect opportunity to offer this definition. "Ice formed in the carburetor due to the effects of lowered temperature by decreased air pressure and fuel vaporization in the presence of significant water vapor (high humidity)."
