Vern Offers Some Additional Background On The Eclipse 400 and 500 Programs

Yup... it sure seems like its jet week all of a sudden. This time, though, we head back to get some more details on THE OTHER new single engine jet... the recently announced Eclipse 400, as well as recent decisions affecting the Eclipse 500 program. ANN's Aero-TV crew caught up with Vern Raburn right after he gave the public go-ahead for the E400 and engaged in some frank discussion in Part Two of a chat with the Eclipse Boss.

Source: Cirrus co-founder, Chairman and CEO Alan Klapmeier. The company announced Thursday "The-Jet" will now be known as the "Cirrus Vision SJ50," a name meant to convey its -- well, vision -- for the single-engine turbofan segment. The name also ties in well with the recently-announced "Cirrus Perspective," an SR22 G3 bedecked with a jaw-dropping Garmin glass panel.
