Aero-Linx!

Most of the information contained here relates to the Golden Age of Aviation. This was the period from the end of World War I to the beginning of World War II. Barnstorming, air racing, flying circuses, and Lindberghs Atlantic crossing were all part of this exciting period in aviation history.

Aero-Terms!

The overhaul of the cylanders, valves, an pistons of a reciprocating engine. A top overhaul does not include opening the crankcase or removing the connecting rods of the crankcase.

Source: Bob Reding, VP of Operations for American Airlines, putting a decided spin on the news American plans to cut 42 departures from New York's LaGuardia, most of them coming from American Eagle, later this year. While acknowledging the move will trim its costs -- it follows similar cutbacks at DFW, ORD, and STL -- American also noted the cutbacks could help that airport's well-known congestion issues.
