Aero-Terms!

A tab installed on the trailing edge of a stabilator. The tab automatically moves in the same direction as the stabilator to produce a stabilizing aerodynamic force that attempts to bring the surface back to a streamlined position. An anti-servo tab can also be referred to as an anti-balance tab.

"The decision to allow President Bush and his fleet of aircraft to fly into Heathrow rather than a military base was one all of Heathrow's users could have done without. I am also angry that this was allowed."

Source: Willie Walsh, CEO of British Airways. BAA, operator of London's Heathrow Airport, said 40,000 travelers were stranded last week, when US President George W. Bush made a stopover at the busy European entry point.
