The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has announced the first
sustained civilian use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to curb
illegal activities along Arizona’s southern border.
"We basically flew low over the trees until we saw her
in the grassy swamp. When we saw her, she waved at us. We radioed
the ground teams and circled until they got to her."
