Turbojet Engine
An entertaining private site in which the author built an
amateur jet engine out of parts scavenged from a number of
sources. According to the site, "The engine presented here is
based on a used automotive turbo charger, lots of off the shelf
parts, and only a few custom made components. Anyone with a little
knowledge of engines, access to a reasonably well stocked workshop,
some free time, and some excess cash should be able to make an
engine like mine, or an even better one."
"I just enjoy flying... I can't stand sitting
around. I like traveling. I like just being on the flight, and I
like the challenge of it. As of right now, I'm 95 percent back to
normal. There's really not much holding me back. I can run,
snowboard, ride a bike, pretty much do anything. I can do
everything I could before. I feel 100 percent confident I can go
back and do my job without any problem."
