ATC has offered the pilot the option of starting climb or descent
whenever he/she wishes and conducting the climb or descent at any
rate he/she wishes.
With Diamond announcing FAA certification of the DA42 NG and
EASA certification of the DA40 NG, it seemed to be an appropriate
time to go back and look at the concept of the aviation diesel
