You can obtain the times of sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset,
transits of the Sun and Moon, and the beginning and end of civil
twilight, along with information on the Moon's phase by specifying
the date and location. Useful tool for those VFR-ers.
The word "roger" is a somewhat antiquated word used in radio
communication. It is used as a reply, to indicate that the speaker
has heard and understood the previous message.
"The FAA has given numbers for shifts that it believes
is required to maintain safety. Currently, LAX Tower, even using
overtime, never has the required numbers present on these
shifts."
