F-15, F-16 Demo Teams, Heritage Flight Program Added
The OC Air Show will bring thunder and lightning to the skies
over Ocean City, MD June 10-11, as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Viper
soar high above the beach and boardwalk.
In a coalition letter to the US Senate this week, 35 aviation
organizations called for members to pass a comprehensive, long-term
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill this
year and urged the Senate to make the legislation a
priority.
Approval for landing. A carryover expression from days when
aircraft for the most part had no radios, and communication from a
control tower was by means of a light-gun that beamed various
green, red, and yellow signals to pilots in the air and on the
ground.
"With such a small passenger load we did consider
whether we could cancel the flight and re-accommodate the five
remaining passengers on other flights. However, this would have
left a plane load of west-bound passengers stranded in London
Heathrow who were due to fly back to the US on the same aircraft.
We sought alternative flights for the west-bound passengers but
heavy loads out of London that day meant that this was not
possible."
