One week ago Tuesday, a major power outage swept across south
Florida... but the loss of normal power did not impact air traffic
in the area due to the work performed everyday by dedicated Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) employees, said the Professional
Aviation Safety Specialists, AFL-CIO (PASS), the union that
represents FAA technicians.
Trademarked name of a split-flap attached to a wing through a
system of tracks and rollers to roll the flap backward and
downward, increasing the wing area.
"Three different courts have issued six consecutive
rulings in two different cases each allowing construction to go
forward. The Federal Aviation Administration, the US Army Corps of
Engineers and the Airport Authority have followed a methodical,
fact-driven process from the day we began considering airport
relocation."
