a physiological hazard known as the false climb illusion. More
scientifically labeled “Somatogravic Illusion,” it
describes the result of fluid moving in a pilot’s inner ear
when an aircraft accelerates.
If you know the name of the first woman to fly solo around the

to Jerrie Mock, a 38 year old mother of three, who accomplished the
feat in 1964.
