NBAA 2009 is now history... and with a sigh of relief, the industry notes that while certainly beaten up a bit, it remains unbowed and raring to go forth and revisit past glories... though it may take a years to get there.

A type of hydro-pneumatic (oil-air) shock absorber used on
aircraft landing gear. The shock of the landing impact is taken up
by oil flowing through a restricting hole. Smaller shocks from
taxiing are taken up by a cusion of compressed air.
The stated mission of the Office Of Commercial Space
Transportation is to to "ensure protection of the public,
property, and the national security and foreign policy interests of
the United States during commercial launch or reentry activities,
and to encourage, facilitate, and promote U.S. commercial space
transportation."
