Tommy Come Home’ is a project of the Ithaca Aviation
Heritage Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation
dedicated to the preservation of the rich aviation heritage of the
Ithaca area.
Our Goal: Tell and relive the story of early aviation here in
the Finger Lakes Region, bringing to life the actual airplane that
was known affectionately throughout the world as the
‘Tommy”.
Ground Delay Program
(GDP)
A traffic
management process administered by the ATCSCC; when aircraft are
held on the ground. The purpose of the program is to support the TM
mission and limit airborne holding. It is a flexible program and
may be implemented in various forms depending upon the needs of the
AT system. Ground delay programs provide for equitable assignment
of delays to all system users.
"They've really stepped up to the challenge of running
their own squadron. They're shining examples of good pilots and
good officers. I'm extremely impressed with the maturity they have
shown."
