How Did Airports, Installations, Planes Fare Under Wilma?

Hurricane Wilma struck near Ft. Meyers and blasted across Florida today, passing out into the Atlantic near Hobe Sound in Palm Beach County. But our interest, as always, is in the aviation angle. We've heard there's a hangar down in Boca Raton with damage to the planes inside, and we've heard of planes damaged in other places.

Aero-News Quote Of The Day (10.25.05)

"The highlight of my day would be when a military fighter jet seemingly appeared out of nowhere and made a high-speed low pass over the runway. Talk about motivation." Source: Former Navy Pilot Richard Webb, in an email defending his January 21 flyby over San Luis Obispo Regional Airport in an F-18 Hornet. According to media reports, Webb flew the fighter less than 100 feet above the main runway, at speeds approaching 650 mph. Webb lost his Navy wings over the incident, although many supporters have defended his actions as inspirational, and in good fun.
