01.14.09 (ANN Special Report, with Tom Poberezny,
President of the Experimental Aircraft Ass
Formed in 1970 at Brampton, Ontario in Canada, this
all-volunteer group is dedicated to recreating the sights, sounds
and feel of World War One combat aircraft. In doing so, they honor
the pilots who served with gallantry and distinction during the
Great War of 1914 - 1918. They build, maintain and fly World War
One replica fighter aircraft. They also have a display of precious
artifacts to take you back to that time in history.
"Why someone would jump out of a plane and leave it on
autopilot with his training and his background is beyond me.
There's no reason for him to do it other than trying to stage
something."
Source: Tom Britt, an acquaintance of fugitive
pilot Marcus Schrenker. The 38-year-old embattled businessman was
reportedly taken into police custody Tuesday night, 48 hours after
Schrenker bailed out of his Piper PA-46 Malibu in an apparent
attempt to fake his own death.
