After three years of hard work, a team of engineering students
at the University of Alberta successfully launched their unmanned,
computer-controlled aircraft into the Edmonton skies last summer.
Now they’re ready to take on a new challenge.
Any surface designed to obtain a useful aerodynamic reaction when
air passes over it. Airplane wings, propeller blades, and
helicopter rotors are examples of airfoils.
"Any time this kind of violation occurs, we’re
going to make sure we do a very thorough investigation including
any possible security breaches. But the investigation is ongoing
and it would be premature to make any terrorism
link."
