Increased Cargo Screening, Unionized Screeners Among
Proposals
There are some new sheriffs in the town of Washington, DC... and
they've got some radical ideas on improving airport security. House
Democrats -- in control of Congress for the first time since 1994
-- are pushing new anti-terrorism legislation that, if enacted,
would change several aspects of airport security.
Booklets published by the National Aeronautical Charting Office
which provides information about airports, such as runway lengths,
runway surface, services available, hours of operation, lighting
and frequencies.
"This accident was caused by the pilots' inappropriate
and unprofessional behavior. Simply adhering to standard operating
procedures and correctly implementing emergency procedures would
have gone a long way to adverting this tragic
accident."

'joyride' crash of a Pinnacle Airlines CRJ200. The board determined
a laundry list of causes led to the accident, which claimed the
lives of the two pilots onboard.
