Visits Phoenix October 7th, Dallas-McKinney October 14th For
Public Displays
The HondaJet will be making a couple of stops as it wends it way
to and from Las Vegas for the NBAA Annual Meeting & Conference.
On the way to the show, the airplane will be on display Friday,
October 7th and Dallas, TX, then following the convention it will
be in McKinney, TX, on Friday, October 14th. The local visits are
being scheduled to take place on the first trip of the HondaJet
proof-of-concept aircraft West of the Mississippi River.
PCSO Re-Defining Helicopter Mission With New Aircraft
The Pima County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) in Tucson, Arizona
has recently placed an order for its first helicopter from American
Eurocopter – an AS350 B3e (AStar). After a tragic accident
earlier this year, Lt. Bob Kimmins and Capt. Don Kester were tasked
with redefining the Department's helicopter mission and identifying
the appropriate aircraft for that mission.
Remarks In Testimony To The International Trade Commission
NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen told the U.S. International
Trade Commission (ITC) that the U.S. civil aviation industry
remains one of the strongest positive contributors to the nation's
balance of trade, despite the daunting economic challenges that
have confronted the industry in recent years.
In remarks Thursday at the European Airport Coordinators
Association’s (EUACA) Seminar held in Amsterdam, the European
Business Aviation Association (EBAA) applauded the European
Commission’s initiative to revise the Regulation on airport
slots, but cautioned against over-simplicity in the choice of
indicators for the purpose of the revision.
